Haystack Rock anchors the shoreline at Cannon Beach, Oregon, as the outgoing tide reveals the coast beneath a soft Pacific mist. Rocks stretch across the foreground while the distant shoreline fades into the haze, creating a sense of the coast continuing endlessly beyond view. Captured in 1986.
