THE WATCHING MOOR

The land remembers what we try to forget.

On the Dark Peak moors, some things are best left untaken.

Callum Walsh thought stealing a brick of cocaine from a Burnley dealer called Daz would make him king. Daz sends Riggs - ex-military, cold, never misses - to take him down. Callum runs for the moor.

What he finds there isn’t what he was expecting. Freezing fog chokes the groughs. Whispers rise from the bogs. A woman in white watches from the ridges, and her miners are waiting in the mist. The moor claims its own, and the moor is patient.

As Riggs closes in, Callum’s ghosts start walking beside him. And the hunter learns some prey fight back.
