What is a non-fiction text?

A non-fiction text is a piece of writing based on factual information. A non-fiction text can take many different forms, such as:

1. articles;
2. blog posts;
3. letters;
4. reports;
5. diary entries;
6. speeches;
7. autobiographies/biographies;
8. emails;
9. leaflets.

Non-fiction texts can include opinions and bias and so cannot be regarded as entirely factual or truthful.
