There is a quality of stillness unique to the Delta state - not the stillness of trying to be still, but the stillness that arrives when the nervous system has genuinely released its vigilance. It cannot be forced. It can only be approached - slowly, through the right frequency, over enough time.

There is a threshold in entrainment - a point at which the nervous system stops evaluating the input and begins to follow it. Single-layer tracks ask a lot of the listener to reach that threshold. Five layers lower the threshold considerably. You don’t have to work toward the state. The state comes toward you.
