  There has been a lot written over the years about Bobby Fuller and his band the Bobby Fuller Four, so this book will be nothing new, but it is an attempt to put the entire story together, or as close as possible, considering the passage of years and the passing of many of the central characters, including THE central character himself who was taken so prematurely that July day in 1966.
  A great deal of effort has been undertaken to once and for all extricate all the myths, inaccuracies and inconsistencies that have engulf the events surrounding the Bobby Fuller Four and the death of its leader.
  This has been made possible by the input of many individuals who were there at the time who either witnessed the events unfold firsthand or who were actually involved themselves.
  Officially, there were only ever six "Bobby Fuller" singles, two "Bobby Fuller And The Fanatics" singles, one "Shindigs" single and eight "Bobby Fuller Four" singles and two “Bobby Fuller Four” LPs.
  These are all discussed and the facts surrounding them thoroughly documented.
  What you are now reading is the third version of ROCK ‘N’ ROLL MUSTANGS, but the Fourth Edition of the book.
 The first “Regular” version was published in April 2009 after the very first printing of the book - published only in promotional form - was made available in April 2008.
  The purpose of the promotional edition - of which only 30 numbered copies were printed - was to gather feedback, additional information and corrections from as many individuals as possible, particularly those who were involved with Bobby Fuller in one form or another, as well as those who have been significant chroniclers and supporters of the music of the Bobby Fuller Four.
  The wealth of feedback received from publishing the promotional edition was responsible for the publication of the first real edition of the book; the two books varying little except the Second Edition had a great deal more personal information from those actively involved.
  This Second Edition (like the limited promotional First Edition) was subtitled “A Musical Overview Of Bobby Fuller And Mustang Records” because it not only documented the exploits of Bobby Fuller and his various bands, but also all the other artists and releases associated with Mustang Records.
  Due to feedback from individuals more “Bobby Fuller” focused, it was subsequently decided to cull all the information not relevant to Bobby Fuller and his bands, leaving the book more fully BOBBY FULLER focused.
  This new edition became the Third Edition, which was never actually published in book form, only as an E-Book.
  Now thanks to additional research, etc. the Third Edition has been expanded, the end result being the Fourth Edition.
  This updated and expanded version of ROCK ‘N’ ROLL MUSTANGS has quite a deal of information, graphics and photos not featured in any of the previous editions.
  In all, the book is over 200 pages and contains over 100 photos and nearly the same in posters, advertisements, etc.
  In addition, the Fourth Edition has also been re-formatted with the removal of the “Notes And References” section at the rear of the book and the placement of same at the bottom of each page, making access to such information more direct.
  These notes contain not only much of the “discographical” information pertaining to the various releases referred to and discussed, but also additional information. It is hoped this re-formatting will greatly increase the “readability” of the text itself.
  Likewise, it is hoped these improvements and additions will help provide a greater understanding of the events that occurred and the motivations of all those involved.
