Candy is heading home after a difficult first day back at university following her accident. Her underarms ache from using crutches, her casted foot throbs, and her exposed toes are cold. To make herself feel a little better, she painted her toenails silver, but someone teased her, calling her "Twinkle Toes" and "Gimpy." By the time she reaches the bus stop, she's exhausted and relieved the day is finally over. She sits down and props up her heavy cast to ease the pain and swelling. While waiting, she is surprised to see an old frenemy come by. The woman seems genuinely curious at first, asking what happened and pointing to the cast. However, the attention makes Candy increasingly self-conscious. The conversation drags on, with the woman repeatedly focusing on the cast and Candy's exposed toes. When the bus still hasn't arrived, Candy decides to leave and crutch home instead. The frenemy insists on accompanying her for part of the walk to help her out. As they make their way down the street, the girl continues to be more of a nuisance than a friend, teasing Candy and making an already difficult day feel even longer. By the time Candy finally gets home, all she wants is to rest her aching foot and forget the day's embarrassments. But her frenemy has a surprise. She takes Candy's crutches away and makes her hop around to get them back, Candy hops furiously to get them and occasionally must land on already aching bad foot with a thud. Her frenemy continues taunting Candy giving only one crutch back and daring her to get the other. Candy struggles to until finally she gets them back... With friends like these you needs enemies!
