Volume 1 of Lowrider Culture focuses on the scene in England, documenting a community that has grown with care, small family orientation, and deep respect for its roots, yet uniquely different.

This issue brings together some of the most considered Lowriders in the country, alongside coverage of England’s first dedicated Lowrider Show, hosted by LayNPlay at Great Northern Classics. It also spends time with local communities through gatherings such as the Tru Rydaz meet at London Lowrider Tattoo, capturing the social spaces where the culture lives beyond the cars themselves.

Alongside the UK scene, the issue includes a special feature on Mister Cartoon, with a full story on his iconic Lowrider Ice Cream Truck, as well as a look at the work and perspective of legendary Los Angeles photographer Estevan Oriol — both integral voices within the wider Lowrider world.

This volume sets out to document 'Lowrider Culture' as it is lived: rooted in community, family on a wider scale, creativity, and shared respect, whatever country it takes shape in.
