The white heron, great white heron is a bird in the heron family. It is up to 90 cm tall and has a wingspan of up to 1.90 meters. The length of the beak is somewhat variable. The plumage is always white. In males, during the mating season the upper half of the bill is black and the lower half yellow and in winter and in young specimens it is completely yellow. With nuptial plumage, they show off some fine ornamental feathers on their backs that protrude a little from the tail. The skin around the eyes is yellowish green and the iris of the eyes is sulphur-yellow. The legs are black and the toes are greenish to black.
