Regular Present Tense Verbs (40) - Part 2

Part 1 - focusing on the 40 new verbs in the infinitive, and the rules to conjugation in the present tense for -er & -re verbs.

Part 2 - of this unit continues on with -ir verbs, applying the concept to all verbs and a giant Dragon project applying grammar concept to new verbs!

• Culminating task - Students are tasked with being 'adoption agent' for dragons, they need to fill in an adoption form describing their dragon (that they will make as a beautiful hand puppet for the speaking portion). This will have them conjugating new verbs and applying this grammar concept. Then they will present their dragon as a puppet on their hand, and tell the class why it would be a good fit for an adoption into their family...or NOT! Everything is all made for you: a helpful vocab./verb sheet, adoption page (DI version), rubrics for writing and speaking, teacher slides, and 4 dragon puppet templates that can be coloured and cut out (designed by one of my grade 4 students last year!) Check out the preview to get a good idea of this fun new project!

FYI - part 1 of the unit starts with -er and -re verb conjugation rules and practice, plus learning 40 new regular verbs that are used throughout.

This Grammar unit is HUGE and will last you AGES! I often break it up with other little things in between!
