Spring Lamb Art Lesson Spring Farm Animal Art Project Baby Lamb Drawing Activity
This Spring Lamb Art Lesson is a spring animal art project for elementary students that blends drawing, painting, literacy and seasonal learning. Students follow step-by-step lamb drawing pages to create a fluffy lamb with textured wool, expressive features and a bright spring landscape, using oil pastel resist with watercolor or tempera paint.
Along the way, students learn that spring is a time when many animals have babies, which connects the art to science and nature themes. Reading, creative writing, reflection and artist statement pages make it a cross-curricular art and literacy lesson for classroom teachers, art teachers, homeschool families and substitute teachers.
