Preparing for Postpartum (Individual Guide)
Preparing for Postpartum
A gentle guide to preparing for the season after birth
Everyone prepares for the birth. So few of us prepare for what comes after.
After four babies, I've learned that postpartum doesn't end at six weeks, and that the best thing you can do for your recovery is prepare for it before your baby arrives. This guide is everything I wish someone had handed me: practical, honest and rooted in faith. It's meant to help you hand off what you can, so you truly can rest and heal.
Inside this 22-page guide:
- When to start preparing, and how to ready your home, body, family and heart
- How to organize a meal train and gather your community
- Finding your "Gina," the friend every new mother needs
- Learning to ask for help, with simple words to make it easier
- Rest, nourishment and getting through the long nights
- The healing rituals, products and supplements that helped me most
- A gentle, unhurried approach to returning to fitness
- Scripture and prayers for this tender season
- Resources I trust, and the warning signs that mean you should call your midwife or doctor
Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, my hope is that you'll walk into postpartum feeling supported, prepared and deeply cared for.
