Get this Season's Group Nature Experience: The Hummingbird
The Hummingbird Experience
Bring the wonder of nature to your community.
There's something quietly unforgettable about meeting a hummingbird.
For one impossible second it hangs suspended in the air, wings beating faster than the eye can follow—and then, just as suddenly, it's gone.
This experience was created around that fleeting moment of encounter.
Created to bring people together through shared discovery of the natural world, The Hummingbird Experience offers a simple way to explore one of our planet's most remarkable birds.
Over the course of an hour, your group will journey into the fascinating world of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird through fascinating science, storytelling, conversation, and shared discovery.
Together, you'll uncover how these tiny birds migrate across continents, remember the flowers they've visited, defend their territories with astonishing determination, and survive against extraordinary odds. Along the way, your group will be invited to share stories, observations, and memories of their own, often discovering a renewed sense of wonder for the natural world just beyond their own windows.
Whether you're gathering residents, library patrons, garden club members, students, or lifelong learners, everything has been thoughtfully prepared so you can simply bring people together and enjoy the experience.
