WHAT THIS PROGRAM OFFERS
This is a fully scripted, professionally researched facilitated bird program built around one of the most extraordinary creatures in the natural world: the Ruby-throated Hummingbird. We explore its science, its communication, and its remarkable inner life — and what it quietly reveals about our own. Participants move from curiosity to wonder to personal reflection, leaving with a genuine sense of connection — to the natural world and to each other.
DESIGNED FOR YOUR COMMUNITY
Ideally suited for:
Assisted Living & Independent Living Memory Care
Senior Centers
Nature Centers
Adult Community Groups
Note: Memory care and mixed-ability adaptations are woven directly into the script — not added as an afterthought — so every participant can engage in a way that feels natural and dignified.
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?
Most enrichment programming asks staff to do the heavy creative lifting and spend time with preparation. The Hummingbird Event does not. The facilitation script is written in warm, literary, and intellectually substantive language with every aspect of the event planned and written for you. Every discussion prompt is designed to welcome the quiet observer and the active participant equally. All you need to do is read and lead a meaningful program.
