PLC Fidelity Checklist
PLC Fidelity Checklist
A practical tool to monitor PLC implementation, strengthen team habits, and identify next-step action items.
PLCs don’t improve just because we meet more often—they improve when we consistently protect the right practices: clear commitments, aligned planning, strong assessment cycles, and meaningful data conversations. This PLC Fidelity Checklist gives teams a simple way to rate current implementation and choose 1–2 focused action steps to strengthen impact.
This checklist was developed specifically for my campus and aligned with our instructional focuses. It is shared as a sample tool and may need to be modified to reflect your campus priorities, PLC structures, timelines, and instructional systems.
What This Tool Includes
This checklist is built as a quick-rating rubric with space to document rationale and next steps. Teams mark their current level of implementation across key PLC practices:
How to Use It (Fast + Effective)
- As a team, mark your current level (No Progress → Accomplished) and add a brief rationale.
- Identify 1–2 priority Action Steps for any areas marked “No Progress” or “Some Progress.”
- Revisit on a cyclical basis—quarterly, after benchmark/common assessment cycles, or midyear—to monitor growth and recalibrate next steps.
Perfect For
- PLC teams who want clarity and consistency
- Campus leaders or instructional coaches monitoring PLC implementation
- Departments/grade levels working toward stronger planning, assessment, and data cycles
- Schools building a culture of shared ownership and follow-through
