Nahum Made Simple

"The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power." Nahum — the comfort of judgment: Nineveh's cruelty would not stand forever, for the Lord is slow to anger and great in power (Nahum 1:3, 7). Thirteen chapters walk through all three chapters of Nahum verse by verse: the jealous and avenging God, slowness to anger, greatness in power, the Lord's goodness as a stronghold in trouble, the broken yoke, the beautiful feet that bring good tidings, the foretold siege, the bloody city, and the wound with no healing — plus eight reflection questions, a closing prayer, and the gospel truth that the judgment Nahum foretold fell on Jesus Christ so the comfort he promised could belong to everyone who trusts in Him.
