WHY THIS EXISTS

A form due Friday. Six dollars on an app. Wear orange Monday — and you found out Saturday, from a note in the bottom of the bag.

Each one is small. Nine of them a week is a second job nobody gave you a system for.

You are not disorganised. You are being drip-fed. The problem was never the forms — it's that they arrive one at a time, through four different channels, and each one costs two minutes you didn't have.

WHAT'S INSIDE (32 pages)

EVERY WORKING SHEET COMES TWICE

First a copy filled in as a worked example — a real week, written out to the bottom of the page, so you can see exactly what goes where without reading instructions. Then the identical sheet, completely empty, for your week, your children, your school. 12 worked examples, 13 blank sheets to use and reprint.

THE TWO PAGES THAT DO THE WORK

· This week — one line per ask: what they want, who it's for, when it's due, what it costs, done, dropped. "Dropped" is a real column, and ticking it is a decision rather than a failure.

· The next 48 hours — the only page that matters on a bad morning. If it isn't due in two days, it isn't allowed on this page.

THE ASKS, SORTED

· Money they ask for — book fair, picture day, class gift, field trip. What for, how much, how they want it (app, envelope, Venmo to another parent), and a monthly total

· Dress-up and theme days — the day, what's needed, and whether you already own it. Plus what's actually in the costume box, so you stop rebuying

· Paper that needs a signature — with two separate columns for "signed" and "returned", because they are two different jobs and the second one is where it goes wrong

· Dates they've given us — not a calendar. The handful of dates that break a working week: closure days, parent evening, the assembly

SO IT ISN'T ALL ON ONE PERSON

· The one-page school sheet — teacher, office, drop-off window, bus, club days, portal. Everything a grandparent or babysitter needs to cope without ringing you

· Who's doing what — ten rows of invisible work with a column for whose it is. "Reads the school emails" is one row and about four hours a month

· What the teacher said — written down at the time, before it becomes a feeling instead of a fact

THE DAILY BIT

· The morning strip — five steps, big type, two cut-out copies. For the child, not for you

· When they get home — the twenty-minute unload that stops the bag becoming tomorrow's problem

· Stick this on the door — four boxes, the whole week, visible from the kitchen

AND

· The one that got away — for what got missed, with the fix pointed at where it fell through rather than at you

· Questions we get — including the ones where the honest answer is "this won't help"

· Two cards to cut out

WHAT THIS IS NOT

There is no calendar in here. The school already gave you one, and it isn't the part that's failing. There are no lined journal pages, no routine charts to decorate, and no year printed anywhere — it doesn't expire in June.

FORMATS AND HONEST NOTES ON TABLETS

Both US Letter and A4 are included, drawn natively — not one scaled out of the other. Print at 100%, or import into GoodNotes, Notability or any PDF app and write on it with a stylus.

Being straight with you: there are no tappable checkboxes and no fillable form fields. Those don't work reliably in note-taking apps, so instead we drew boxes you tick yourself with a pen or a stylus, and we'd rather say so here than have you find out after buying.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

1. Files are available immediately after payment under My Purchases, and a link is emailed to you.

2. Both US Letter and A4 are included.

3. Print at 100% with "fit to page" off, or open on a tablet in any PDF app.
