At the old windmill in the orchard, Tom and Uncle Agustín watch a new generation of swallows grow, learn to fly, master their fast turns in the air, and discover how to find their own food.

But summer is coming to an end.

Very soon, the young swallows will have to leave the place where they were born and begin their first great journey toward warmer lands. They do not know how long the journey will last or what they will find along the way, but they are prepared and they trust their parents and the group that will travel with them.

The Great Journey of the Swallows is a warm story about learning, growing, trusting, and understanding that moving away from what we love does not mean forgetting it.
