This is Section 3 in a series of worksheets teaching programming concepts and should be completed after Sections 1 and 2.

Blueprints is a unique series of worksheets encouraging critical thinking and creativity while teaching programming concepts to children, ages 6 and up.

While many products claim to introduce coding/programming to kids, they mainly teach that things occur in a sequence. Blueprints was designed by a programmer and teacher, and uses activities that closely resemble completing actual coding tasks.

The concept of a blueprint is used as an analogy for a class in programming. For anyone who is unfamiliar with programming (and, for example, doesn't know what a class is), an introduction is included before each section to explain the terminology along with the connection between that section's worksheets and their coding equivalent.

In this section, we will be reviewing what we've learned from sections 1 & 2 by completing a series of challenges!
  • We'll help a robot by giving it the actions it needs to be able to get to some ice cream.
  • We'll design robot arms!
  • We'll help 3 people get the jobs that they want by giving them the skills that they need.
  • We'll design our own school.
  • And finally, we'll design our perfect birthday party.
