Mandarin Maze Workbook — Bilingual Chinese-English Reading Mazes (Ages 5–10)
Most maze worksheets are just a pencil exercise. This one only works if your child can actually read the Mandarin sentence first.
Each of the 20 pages gives Little Damien a short bilingual sentence — "我要去外公家" (I'm going to grandpa's house), "我发烧了所以我要去医院看病" (I have a fever so I have to go to the hospital) — and three possible destinations. Kids have to read and understand the sentence to know which path leads to the right place. Guessing doesn't get you through the maze; reading does.
Along the way, kids pick up real-world vocabulary: school, market, hospital, park, zoo, airport, bakery, and more — each labeled with Chinese characters, pinyin, and English. It's vocabulary and reading comprehension practice disguised as a puzzle.
