You may use any yarn or hook that you like. I recomend medium weight yarn and 4.5 or 5.0 hook
Starting row does not count as row 1.
If row 1 says sc100. then chain 100+1, turn and sc in 2nd chain from the hook and into each chain, at the end of row chain 1 turn, begin row 2
