Word Endings: -ff, -ll, -ss, and -zz Matching Game

Objective

Students will practice reading words FLOSS with -ff, -ll, -ss, and -zz endings by matching each word surfboard to its correct picture surfboard.

Preparation

• Print all pages.
• Cut apart the surfboard cards.
• Laminate for durability (optional).
• Shuffle the cards.

How to Play

1. Spread all of the surfboard cards face up on a table or floor.
2. Students read each word and find the matching picture.
3. Match the word surfboard with the correct picture surfboard.
4. Continue until all 20 matches have been made.
5. Check work using the answer key.
