
8 Week to the CrossFit Games
Follow the program written for the athletes in the lead up to the 2024 CrossFit Games.
This 8 week program is suitable for anyone looking to prepare for a CrossFit competition that has a swim in it.
Includes:
- Basics of technique guide to maximising efficiency in the water
- What CrossFitters need to adjust to get the most out of their swimmingÂ
- Breathe work intervals to maximise your lung capacity and crush your workout out of the pool
- CrossFit style workouts with and without equipment
The first three weeks of the program are spent working through technique and building endurance, three weeks are then spent doing mixed modal workouts with CrossFit elements thrown in. The final two weeks consist of some varied intervals and an open water/deload session to take you into the competition your are preparing for.
Minimum swim ability is to be able to swim 50m unbroken.
