6. NAR-COM-006 — Critical Comparison, Contradictory Evidence and Research Controversies
Description:
This Master Prompt would focus on moving narrative review beyond descriptive summarization toward critical comparison of competing findings, interpretations, approaches, technologies, interventions, theories, or methodological positions. It would guide researchers in identifying areas of agreement and disagreement, examining possible explanations for conflicting results, comparing advantages and limitations, and determining which conclusions are strongly supported, conditionally supported, disputed, or unresolved.
A major emphasis would be placed on preventing selective citation and false consensus. Researchers would retain unsuccessful approaches, null or conflicting findings, methodological weaknesses, contextual differences, and competing explanations. Differences between studies would be examined in relation to study design, population, setting, measurement, implementation conditions, follow-up, and other defensible explanatory factors rather than automatically attributing disagreement to error.
