EU CRA 24/72-Hour Reporting Readiness & Evidence System

The EU Cyber Resilience Act's Article 14 reporting duties begin on 11 September 2026. For an in-scope occurrence, the early warning is due without undue delay and no later than 24 hours after awareness; the vulnerability or incident notification is due without undue delay and no later than 72 hours; final-report timing is event-specific.

This early-access system helps a manufacturer or open-source software steward prepare the internal facts, owners, evidence, deadlines, and review record before information is entered into ENISA's Single Reporting Platform.

Use it to:

• inventory in-scope EU products, including earlier placements and products or versions whose support period has ended;

• capture the first signal, prompt assessment, earliest reasonable-certainty awareness time and factual basis;

• organize trigger escalation without turning a formula into a legal conclusion;

• calculate and monitor 24-hour, 72-hour, and event-specific final deadlines;

• prepare internal stage packets based on ENISA's published field matrix;

• distinguish an SRP Assigned Representative (platform user) from a CRA Article 18 authorised representative;

• record the Article 14(7) non-EU routing basis;

• track corrective measures, user communications, evidence, reviewers, and status; and

• preserve submission confirmation evidence, including the notification ID, confirmation email or alert, screenshot or export if available, and exact submitted content.
