“The memories of my childhood are still vivid, like lights left on in a room that time has not managed to extinguish. I remember the games, the carefree days, the gifts received with eyes full of wonder. I remember a rocking horse, a pair of roller skates, a sheriff’s costume. And I remember, more than anything else, a small red pedal car with real headlights that lit up in the dark. I would race through a darkened room, guided only by that light. Perhaps even then, without knowing it, I was learning something: that even in the deepest darkness, a single light is enough to find the way.

Yet among those memories, there is one that carries a different weight.

I see myself as a child, motionless in a bed. Without strength, without a voice. My body no longer responded. The doctors tried, but without success. Around me, taut faces, broken words, promises I could not even hear to the end. At a certain point, my parents were told to prepare for the worst. That night was about to become my last.

But right there, where every human hope came to a stop, something happened. I saw Jesus enter the room. He came to my bed and asked me a simple question: ‘Do you want to be healed?’ There were no complicated arguments, no theology to grasp. Just a question. And an answer: yes.

I felt His hand touch me deep within. Three times.

A simple gesture, but enough to change everything.

The following morning I woke up completely healed.

That was my first encounter with Him. And, thanks be to God, it was not the last. Over time, life brought me face to face with suffering again — but from a different vantage point. No longer only as one who receives, but as one who observes, accompanies, and fights. I have seen illness up close. I have watched it consume, disfigure, and strip away dignity. I watched my brother — a strong man, an athlete — be progressively broken in body, until he could no longer embrace his own children. And then came the cancer. In those moments, reality is stripped bare. Human beings do what they can, but there always comes a point beyond which they cannot go. It was precisely there that I understood: the limit of man is not the point where everything ends — it is the point where God begins His work. Throughout my life I have seen and experienced healings that cannot be explained by natural means alone. Not because human effort is not precious, but because there is a reality that transcends it. From that moment, a commitment was born in me. Not a vague idea, but a decision: to offer my life so that God might use it to bring healing to those who suffer and hope to those who have lost it. This book is born from here.

It is not born to persuade, but to testify.

My prayer is simple: that these pages may kindle faith, awaken hope, and open a real space for the work of God in the life of whoever reads them. Because, even today, in the name of Jesus, there is a power capable of healing, restoring, and giving life. And that light, which once illuminated a dark room, has never stopped shining.”
