JERONIJOURNEY TRAVEL SLING

The JeroniJourney Travel Sling is your perfect companion for secure and organized travel; designed to be slim and comfortable. This sling bag can easily be worn under a jacket, keeping your travel essentials close and secure.

The JeroniJourney is the 5^th pattern in the popular Jeronimo series. Just like its siblings, it features the signature slanted flap with a convenient zipper pocket. A top zipper pocket offers space for cards, cash or earbuds. Under the flap you’ll find both a secure zipper pocket and a slip pocket roomy enough for your phone. A large back zipper pocket adds even more storage.

Sewing level is rated as adventurous beginner.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS

Because there are some areas in the bag that remain raw edge, you will need non fraying materials for your JeroniJourney Travel Sling such as vinyl, cork or leather.

All pocets are fully lined. For the lining you can choose Water Proof Canvas (WPC) or quilting cotton interfaced with woven interfacing.

Some areas need stabilizer from Decovil Light or foam. The pattern provides separate stabilizer pattern pieces.

1 PDF file with pattern pieces to print at home (suitable for letter and A4 paper)

1 ZIP file with SVG files for a few pattern pieces to use with a (Cricut) cutting machine

MATERIALS

NOTIONS AND TOOLS

• basic sewing tools and sewing machine
• teflon foot or walking foot, teflon (narrow) zipper foot if working with vinyl or leather
• universal needles or leather needles #16 or #18 (size 100 or 110) depending on your chosen materials
• bonded nylon thread tex 70
• fabric glue
• Fray Check
• Lock Bond or Loctite metal glue (optional)
• 1/8” (3 mm), ¼” (6 mm) and 3/8” (1 cm) DST (double sided tape)
• ruler, craft knife, rotary cutter and/or scissors
• 2.5 mm (that's just under 1/8”) and 10 mm (3/8”) hole puncher
• silver pen, sharpie, erasable fabric pen and/or chalk to make marks (test on scrap pieces first)
• clips and pins
• skiving knife or electric bell skiver (optional and only for leather)
• seam roller tool or rubber mallet to flatten seams
• duct tape
• scrap pieces of Decovil Heavy and Decovil Light, or glass fiber tape to reinforce rivets
• Tokonole or edge paint with edge coat roller or awl to finish raw edges (optional)
• spray starch (optional)
