Sony 55XD9305 gaming picture settings - SDR (2016)

This is a list of picture settings that I have obtained after performing complete Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) gaming calibration on Sony 55-inch 55XD9305 LED LCD TV. Tips and settings also aplicable to 65-inch 65XD9305 TV.

Sony 55XD9305 has lowest input lag in Game picture preset, but in that preset it has oversaturated colors which cannot be reduced without other limitations. That is why this document contains two sets of settings. One if for Game mode with lowest input lag, meaning that reactions to user controls will be sooner visible on the screen but with mentioned oversaturated colors. The other set of settings is in Cinema pro preset which calibrated offers correct colors, but with higher input lag.

Calibration was done for HDMI full range RGB signal (0-255), whitepoint target D65, Rec.709 (BT.709) colorspace, gamma 2.2, peak luminance (18% window) 217 nits.

Application examples: playing games on PlayStation, X-Box...

These settings work best if the source is set to Full range HDMI (0-255).

Calibration done on unit with software version: Android 5.1.1. / SVP4KDTV15_EU-user 5.1.1 LMY48E.S265 3.533 release keys
