Shades of Meaning

Imagine people interacting in the near future. They'll still look for love, protect their egos, and try to navigate social expectations, but in this science fiction story, they'll do so using technology and a range of icons and the abbreviations.

Here's how the story starts:
"Hello!" Scott murmured to himself. Across the aisle, downloading two romance novels w/mature sexual themes into her portable reader, was a blonde who was broadcasting "Princess/worth it/fun-to-commitment spectrum" and a URL for a lab that would testify as to her disease/health status. But what was she looking for? That was the question; the filters on the other end were always the real problem.         


You'll notice that there is no minimum price set for this story.

I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
