Paycheck Planner: Split Every Paycheck Into Bills, Savings & Fun (Google Sheets & Excel)
Give every dollar a job on payday, so you know what is left before you spend.
You type what you take home on each paycheck and list your bills. The planner matches bills to the paycheck that should cover them, then lets you plan savings, extra debt payments and fun money. 'Left to assign' tells you if every dollar has a job: green means yes, yellow means money is unplanned, red means you planned more than you earn.
What's inside: a Planner tab (two paychecks side by side, with % of pay for each line and a whole-month view); a Bills tab (list up to 25 bills; the sheet suggests paycheck 1 or 2 from the due date, and you choose); and a quick PDF guide with the 4 steps, a worked example, a payday routine checklist and common mistakes.
Works in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. No subscription, no bank login, no app. We checked the math against a separate calculation, and in a real spreadsheet app, and it matched.
Honest note: educational planning tool, not financial, tax or legal advice. It only adds up the numbers you type; it does not guarantee any result. Example numbers are made up.
