In ancient times, there was a tradition of celebrating the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, known as "Renri" (Human Day). This custom was especially prevalent during the Tang Dynasty, when the emperor would host a banquet for all civil and military officials at the palace, demonstrating its importance. There's also a legend that the weather on that day could predict the fortune and peace of the coming year. The seven vegetables mentioned are said to have specific meanings: celery symbolizes diligence, scallions represent intelligence, garlic implies thrift, leeks pray for longevity, mustard greens foretell a prosperous family, spring vegetables symbolize a thriving career, and spinach represents soaring ambition. If such effects were truly present, wouldn't it be even more auspicious and prosperous if the celebration could be held in the Year of the Horse, the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac, with the red horse as its witness? Double the prosperity! It would be hard not to prosper! May everything flourish!
