Peaceful Polygons was created to work with Marianated Yarns’ Missy’s 2020 Jujubee DK Advent Calendar. (Marian’s theme for her Calendar is joy and peace and I couldn’t help throwing in a mathematical reference.) The pattern is written with two options: using two of the gradient sets included in the Calendar and one skein of Playtime DK, you can knit up the triangular shawl; using all four of the gradient sets in the Calendar plus the one skein of Playtime DK, you can knit up the trapezoid-shaped shawl.
Both versions of the shawl are included with this pattern. Stitch Count Tables are included for helping keep track of rows, specified color and stitch count. Both shawls begin as a triangle worked top down, consisting of mostly garter stitch rib combined with a simple slipped stitch pattern. The larger shawl is then worked from each side of the triangle to create a trapezoid shape.
The color progressions in both designs can be easily switched up, and both shawls are a great canvas for using up leftover DK scraps. To that end, schematics for coloring in are included in the pattern.

1 (1) skein of Marianated Yarns Playtime DK, (100% superwash merino, 274 yds/100 g) for the MC and 2 (4) Marianated Yarns Jujubee DK Gradient Sets, (100% superwash merino, 50 yds/skein, 6 skeins per set) for the CCs.
OR
274 (274) yds in equivalent dk weight yarn for MC; and 50 yards in equivalent dk weight yarn for each gradient colorway (12 (24) colors total) for the CCs.
