The Night Before Thanksgiving

’Twas the night before Thanksgiving, and the whole house was buzzing. Everyone was preparing for the big feast, but no one suspected the surprises that lay ahead.

The kitchen was in chaos. Mom and Dad were scrambling to finish cooking. The turkey, a plump bird named Tommy, sat on the counter, thawing and glaring at his fate.

In the living room, the kids—Ella, Max, and their younger cousin Benny—were busy building a turkey trap out of sofa cushions and duct tape. They whispered excitedly.
