E-BOOK The Greatest Hits of The Irish Myths
THE CYCLES OF IRISH MYTHOLOGY
I decided to write all the stories in a chronological order, from the stories of the first people in Ireland, to the last of the true High Kings of Ireland.
As you embark on this mythological journey, keep in mind that these stories are a blend of those I've heard, read, and perhaps even concocted in my imagination, and remember this is a book about mythology, not history. In truth, I'm just a storyteller, weaving these captivating tales together. Nonetheless, I firmly believe that the stories of Irish Mythology stand among the greatest stories ever told, transcending time, space, and the experiences of all who have encountered them. These captivating stories, shared by countless generations, have a universal appeal that resonates with people from every corner of the world, making them truly timeless and unforgettable.
I can only hope that you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.
The Mythological Cycle, also known as the Cycle of the Gods, delves into the earliest mythic history of Ireland, revolving around the Tuatha Dé Danann and their divine powers.
The Ulster Cycle, also known as the Red Branch Cycle, presents the heroic deeds of warriors like Cú Chulainn in the Ulster region.
The Fenian Cycle, or The Ossianic Cycle, follows the legendary warrior Fionn mac Cumhaill and his band of warriors, Na Fianna, in their adventures across ancient Ireland.
Lastly, The Kings Cycle, or The Historical Cycle, sheds light on the lives and deeds of actual historical figures alongside some of our more legendary ones.
