Dr. Bonnie Blaimer biodiversity cowl knitting pattern

This is a pattern to knit a cowl using the stranded colourwork technique.

The cowl has 3 size options achieved by changing needle sizes.

Shetland Yarn Sport weight by Valley View Farm; sport weight; 100% Shetland Wool; 200yds / 183m / 65g

colours B (Brown) - 155 (175, 195) yds / 142 (160, 179) m

needles:

Some knitters work stranded at a different gauge than single-colour. Please change needles as needed.

size 1 - 2.5 & 3.0mm

size 2 - 2.75 & 3.25mm

size 3 - 3.0 & 3.5mm

gauge:

28 (26, 24) sts x 29 (27, 25) rows over stranded stockinette on 3.0 (3.25, 3.5) mm needles

approximate finished size:

(circumference) 19.75 (21, 23) / 50 (54, 58) cm x (depth) - 11 (11.5, 12.5) in / 28 (29.5, 32) cm
