YOUR VOICE - HEAVEN’S FORGOTTEN WEAPON

More than thirty years ago God spoke a sentence over my life that has governed everything I have done since. He said to me:

I have coded the healing stripes of Jesus on your tongue. Go heal My people. Write Me medical healing books from the Bible. One day I will place these books in the hospitals of the world.

I have repeated that mandate in meetings, in books, in prayer rooms and on television. I have built a ministry on it. And it took me until this year to notice what God actually said. He did not code the healing stripes on my hands. He did not code them on my forehead, or my heart, or my mind. He coded them on my TONGUE.

Of every instrument in the human body God could have chosen, He chose the one that makes sound. He put the healing of a nation inside a muscle whose only work is to speak. And then He said: go heal My people. I did not set out to write this book. I set out to look up the meaning of one word.

I had been reading Proverbs 18:21 — “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” — and something would not leave me alone. The power of my life, the power that holds my life, the power of life and death, has been coded on my tongue. So, I did what I always do when the Holy Spirit will not let a word go. I went and looked it up. I searched the meaning of the word VOICE.

What came back undid me. The world already knows. The dictionaries already know. Buried in the ordinary definitions of an ordinary English word is the whole doctrine of dominion — and the church has walked past it for generations. I found that voice means to EMIT, to CONVEY, to PROCLAIM, to UTTER, to DELIVER, to MANIFEST. Words of release. Words of carrying. Words of birth.

I found that voice means TONGUE. The dictionary, with no interest whatsoever in Proverbs 18:21, lists tongue as a plain synonym for voice. A secular reference book has independently confirmed what Solomon wrote three thousand years ago.

I found that the strongest opposite of voice is not sound, and not quietness. It is SILENCE. And the others listed beside it are listen, refrain and withhold — every one of them a deliberate act. Silence is not something that happens to you. Silence is something you do.

I found that in the same family as song, shout and roar, the dictionary had placed MURMUR and MUTTER — and murmuring is precisely what buried a generation of Israelites in the sand. And then I found the one that stopped me altogether. Voice also means VOTE. Say-so. Suffrage. Approval. Choice. Decision. Representation. Will. Wish.

Your voice is your vote in your own situation. And a believer who says nothing has not been neutral. They have abstained. While I was still turning all of this over, I rang my bank. And the bank said to me what banks now say to millions of people every day: Your voice is your password.

I sat with the phone in my hand. Because think about what that machine is actually doing. Every customer says the same sentence. The words are identical across millions of accounts. So, the words are not what opens the account — the VOICEPRINT is. The bank is not verifying what was said. The bank is verifying WHO IS SPEAKING.

And that is the gospel of this book in one line. Heaven does not merely hear words. Heaven recognises voices. So, I looked up password too. And the strongest meaning of password is IDENTIFICATION. Then countersign — the answer a sentry demands at a gate. Then parole — which is the French word for “word”, and which in English means release from confinement on your own word. Then watchword, signal, ticket, key.
