Hope or Evidence - Free Self Assessment
Hope or Evidence?
A quick, honest inventory for telling the difference.
Totally Free.
Hope isn't the enemy. Most relationships worth having start with some attached: belief in someone's potential, faith that the good parts will win out. The trouble starts when hope stops being a bridge to evidence and starts being a replacement for it.
This is a ten-minute exercise, not a test, and there's no score at the end. You'll pick one relationship or situation, lay two columns side by side (what has actually, consistently happened versus what you're still waiting for), and notice, in your own handwriting, which one you've been living on.
It works on more than romance. The same question applies to a job that keeps promising more than it delivers, a friendship running on old memories, or a family relationship you keep hoping will change.
You don't have to stop hoping. You just have to stop mistaking it for proof.
