I44901 Baltic BA 23andme format new Akbari sample

The recent Akbari study covered 10 thousand ancient genomes. For this video, I’d like to introduce I44901. This sample is male, carries the Y lineage R1a-Z280, and matches the Bronze Age Balts genetically. According to my andreimix utility this sample closely matches Bronze Age Estonians.

Neolithic qpAdm analysis reveals that the dominant ancestry component in this sample is the Anatolian Farmer component, which makes up 30 percent of its ancestry. Zagrosian and Caucasus components are also strong, making up 20 percent in total. Just under half of his ancestry is of European hunter gatherer origin. He scores 26 percent Eastern and 23 percent Western Hunter Gatherer.

This bronze age qpadm breakdown reveals an overwhelming amount of steppe ancestry in this sample, at 63.4 percent, with minor Globular Amphora and Baltic hunter-gatherer admixture.
