Why does the name of your product, side hustle, or business matter so much?
The name you give to something you create is not just a labelβit's your first impression, your identity, and your brand's ambassador.
A well-chosen name can make the difference between obscurity and success, acting as a powerful magnet that draws customers in and keeps them coming back. And if you do it well, they won't even realise the impact that it has on them at many different levels.
Your Name is Your Brand's First Impression: In a crowded marketplace, you have mere seconds to capture someone's attention. A compelling, memorable name can cut through the noise and make a lasting impact.
Whether you are creating the next global brand, a new newsletter or blog, or a trading name for your professional services, getting the name right is the vital first step in building a strong brand identity that resonates with your target audience and stands out from the competition

In this training you will learn about...
π The conscious and unconscious ways word and brand associations drive responses in your target buyer, and makes them feel a certain way about what you are offering
π How to build the values you want to instil in your brand, through the name you choose for it
π How to name a product, service, or whole business, in a way that is uniquely YOURS - that you can promote and explain and enthuse about, in a way which feels totally consistent and authentic and natural to you
π Creative brainstorming techniques for both teams and solopreneurs, to help you generate a wide range of ideas before getting over-attached to any of them
π How to check for availability of trademarks, domains, and your addressable search and social markets, for names you are considering
π How to test and validate your naming ideas, and avoid making costly and embarrassing mistakes (even global enterprises sometimes mess up..!)
π The way your business name integrates with your overall marketing and branding strategies, for a cohesive and consistent message
π The cultural and linguistic considerations that can make or break the success and cut-through of your new baby, in an international setting
π How the name of your thing feeds through to the way you talk about it, pitch it, visualise it*, and develop consistent and authentic messaging around it as you prepare to launch it to the world...
* We're not going to be talking about logos and graphic design in this training - that's another huge subject on its own.
But far too often, we've seen people rush to invest in their visual branding, without having defined it in words accurately first, nor even found the right name for it. We firmly believe that this is where it has to start, and inform the visual branding which will align with the name, and the way you talk about what you do, with confidence and consistency and integrity.
You have to name the baby, before you can announce the birth...

Your Trainer: Maya Middlemiss
"I've been working as a wordsmith since the days when direct response copywriting meant display advertising in magazines, and people cutting out coupons to send in to advertisers.
Obviously the way we do branding and marketing has changed a huge amount in that time, along with so many other things. The context in which we operate, the media available to us, the way our attention is fragmented and monetised...
But the basics of human emotional response to language and nuance and the feelings that words generate within us has remained consistent since the time of our earliest ancestors, and you can still tap into those basics today.
As a serial entrepreneur I have learned from naming many a business baby of my own, as well as helping countless other people figure out their best unique way to craft a name for what they are offering to the world. It is a deeply individual process, and at a time when so many of us are creating and launching things on our own, I wanted to create this training to help people work through the necessary considerations, to define and name their thing on their own, as well as knowing where to seek support and validation before committing too far to a decision.
Join us for this training, where I will walk you through the same process I use with individual coaching clients, and for creating something new of my own.β
