Oporto Tee
DIGITAL KNITTING PATTERN available in English and German
A sideways ribbed tee with a curved hem and buttoned sides.
The boxy tee is knitted from side to side (left to right) in one piece with a curved hem in a slipped-stitch ribbing. No purling is necessary. The sides, knitted in 2x2 ribbing, are closed with buttons. You can choose between adding buttonholes or sewing the buttons through both layers of fabric for more security. The slipped-stitch selvedge creates a neat finish along the hem and neckline, and the curved hem creates shorter sides and a longer center front and back. The armholes are adjustable through personalized button placement.
Use wool/linen or wool/cotton blends to create a flattering tee that you can wear all year. You can knit the body with stripes as shown in the picture, along with matching ribbing at the sides. Alternatively, you can knit the entire piece in one color, add contrasting ribbing, create your own striped or color-blocked version, or use the intarsia technique to work the back and front in different colors. Make it your own and have fun with it!

ein seitwärts gestricktes geripptes Top mit geschwungenem Saum und Knöpfen an den Seiten
Das Oberteil wird von einer Seite zur anderen in einem Stück gestrickt, mit einem geschwungenen Saum in einem Rippenmuster mit Hebemaschen (ganz ohne linke Maschen). Die Seiten, die im klassischen 2 re/2 li-Rippenmuster gestrickt sind, werden mit Knöpfen geschlossen. Es können aber sowohl Knopflöcher gearbeitet werden, oder die Knöpfe durch beide Stofflagen angenäht werden, um die Seiten sicher zu schließen. An der unteren Kante und entlang des Halsausschnitts bilden die Hebemaschen-Randmaschen einen sauberen Abschluss.
Wenn du Wolle/Leinen oder Woll/Baumwoll-Mischungen verwendest, wirst du das ganze Jahr Freude an diesem Top haben.
Der Körper kann, wie abgebildet, gestreift gestrickt werden mit passenden Rippenbändern an den Seiten. Alternativ kann das ganze Teil in einer Farbe gestrickt oder mit kontrastierende Rippenbänder kombiniert werden. Du kannst natürlich auch deine eigene Streifen- oder Farbblock-Version kreieren oder z.B. die Intarsientechnik verwenden, um Vorder- und Rückseite in verschiedenen Farben zu stricken.
