Mandala Breeze Blanket
The Mandala Breeze Blanket is a stunning full-size crochet design that brings together two of my favourite motifs—the Mandala Square, in it's octagon form, and the Breezy Blossom Square. These shapes come together beautifully, blending structure and flow for a decorative, artful look. The colour palette is soft yet grounded, combining gentle pinks and greens with earthy browns for a balanced, nature-inspired feel. Whether draped across a bed or displayed as a statement throw, the Mandala Breeze Blanket adds warmth, elegance, and a touch of handcrafted artistry to any space.
The pieces are joined using my lacey join-as-you-go method, adapted in a new way for this project to create an airy, seamless finish that enhances the blanket’s delicate textures.
I call this an advanced beginner pattern—the stitches themselves are simple, but the join method takes a little more concentration as you’re working around different shapes rather than just squares. It’s a simple two-row repeat, though, and once you find your rhythm it flows beautifully. Video tutorials for the join method are in the works and will be added to a playlist linked in the pattern to guide you every step of the way.
