Great book to share with your children...of all ages. My 30 year old daughter as well as my 14 year old granddaughter could understand the feelings and meaning of finding Christ in their life. The story is prayerful and powerful without being preachy. The characters are so much like someone we know in our own life. My heart went out to those young boys on the run. We tried to help a run away and keep him out of trouble. He ended up as my son-in-law and gave us two wonderful grandchildren.
God works in mysterious ways. The way Mr. and Mrs. Addison held Luke financially and emotionally responsible for his actions and choices, good and bad, and was always there to support him and guide him back to the right defines Christian parents. Course, it goes a long way to confirm His teaching, that he was physically sick after a bad choice was made.
I couldn't put the book down until I finished it! Luke and Sara are twin siblings looking forward to a week without parental supervision and summer fun. The difficult choices, danger, enticement and testing of their faith they encounter all in only one week's time stretches their character, their relationship and threatens their future. You will be on the edge of your seat as this captivating story unfolds and your heart is drawn to two teens in Deerfield Beach, Florida for an unforgettable week of summer excitement and true maturity.

I enjoyed this story by Megy Davis for a few reasons. First, I lived in the area in which the story takes place for many years, and it brought vivid memories back to me. Second, the pace at which the story unfolds keeps you turning the pages to see what is going to transpire. Third, the moral lessons from the teen's encounters make it an undeniably good choice for young adults in this modern age of uncertainty. I would recommend this book to readers of any age and am looking forward to reading the second installment, Pay It Backward. Good read!!
