TA-DEF-007 — Theme Definition, Naming, Semantic–Latent Interpretation and Analytical Narrative Development
Description
This Master Prompt would focus on transforming refined thematic structures into clearly defined and analytically meaningful themes capable of supporting a substantive research narrative. It would guide researchers in identifying the central organizing concept of each theme, defining its scope and boundaries, differentiating themes and subthemes, selecting precise and interpretively meaningful theme names, and determining how individual themes contribute to the overall analytical argument.
A major emphasis would be placed on the transition from description to interpretation. Researchers would distinguish semantic analysis of explicitly expressed meanings from latent analysis concerned with underlying assumptions, ideas and conceptual patterns; determine the interpretive depth justified by the data and theoretical orientation; and avoid making claims that exceed available evidence. Theme definitions would explain not merely what participants discussed but what the patterned meaning reveals about the phenomenon being investigated. The complete theme structure should consequently develop into a coherent analytical narrative rather than a disconnected catalogue of participant responses.
