Pay What Works: In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I and others provide in the making of this pattern. The price shown on Ravelry is the “true” value of the pattern that best reflects the work put into creating this design.

To purchase the pattern at a price point that is more accessible to you, use the coupon code at checkout listed next to the price point. The prices indicate the price you will pay, not the discount amount. No coupon code is needed for the highest price point.

AROHA1 - $7.50

AROHA2 - $9.00

AROHA3 - $12.00

“Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit either.” ― Elizabeth Zimmerman

The ever well-known quote by Elizabeth Zimmerman definitely rings true during these very troubled times.

Mauri Tau (calm, serene in Te Reo Mãori, though I personally understand it as “settling of the soul”) is a top-down yoke pullover featuring an eye-catching slip stitch motif. The slip stitch motif is simple enough that you can use your more variegated yarns to knit it up in and not lose the beauty of the stitch pattern.

This pattern can be easily adjusted at the body for length and waist shaping modifications. You can even add in extra flourishes at the sleeves and hem of the pattern if you so desire.

It is my hope that the ease of the slip-stitch pattern and meditative nature of the stockinette stitch will be able to create a soothing knitting experience (and even if you put it down for a while, it will be quite easy to see where you left off!). The pattern includes stitch count checkpoints, tables for all sleeve decrease rows, written and charted instructions (along with a mobile and LVA version), graded in 14 sizes up to a 66 in. bust.

May this project bring you some serenity to your soul.

Note about the LVA version. This version includes:

All black text
Sans serif font
No italics
All directions fully written out
24 point font size
