Pocket Hat
A nifty beanie hat with a handy little pocket for keeping interesting things in. This is a one size fits most pattern, but I've written in the places where size can be altered. It's knit in double knit yarn, in the round. Change the stitch count by multiples of 4 to get a smaller or larger hat.
You will need: 16mm Dorset button made with 1.2mm contrast thread and a size 18 tapestry needle (button making instructions at the end of the pattern); 175m DK yarn; 4mm x 50cm circular needles, and 4mm double pointed needles for the last 3 rounds; 2 small stitch holders or waste yarn; stitch marker; yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Hat is 23cm across when laid flat and unstretched on a table. My head is 58cm in circumference and it fits me.
