End of the Year Activities Worksheets Memories Reflections for Middle School
This End of Year Journal gives intermediate and middle school students 24 print-and-go pages to reflect on their year, set goals for the future, build classroom community and capture memories. It is for grades 4 to 9, and it keeps students engaged and on task during the final weeks of school.
Students sketch selfies, reflect on goals in a comic strip, write advice for next year's class and more. The pages combine drawing and written expression with reflection and goal setting, and the finished journal becomes a keepsake students can take home.
WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING
★★★★ “I had my 8th grade do "Letter of Advice to Future Students" for the incoming 6th grade class. 8th grade had some good things to say (the prompt helped) and the incoming 6th grade felt reassured with their advice. Exactly what I was looking for during the last week of school!” Amy S.

HOW TO USE IT
Print and staple the full set into a reflection journal, or hand out pages one at a time as bell ringers, exit tickets, creative writing warm-ups, morning work or sub plans. Select pages also work for peer-building activities and back-to-school transitions.
It suits SEL-focused journaling, end-of-year projects and purposeful filler activities. Let students take their journals home as a portfolio from the year, and save pages like the Letter to My Future Teacher to pass on to next year's teacher.
