This shawl was inspired by cities big and small. I lived in Manhattan for a while and I was constantly taken by the beauty of the building facades. Then, when I moved back home to Milwaukee, even though the city is just a fraction of the size, I realized that same beauty was all around. The walls of windows towering over you, the designs etched into the cream city brick, the concrete and glass get me every time, and I wanted to celebrate that with the Skylines Shawl!

This is an easy level pattern - if you can chain, dc, tc, and work in the front and back posts, you can make this shawl!

This pattern is highly customizable. It can be made in any weight yarn, with any hook that gives you amazing drape. You can work it to any size, as well.

Notes:
  • This pattern is written in US terminology.
  • Yarn: Approximately 830 yards of worsted weight (I used Lion Brand Heartland in Bryce Canyon) OR yarn of the weight of your choice
  • Hook: Size K/6.5mm crochet hook OR a hook suitable to your yarn weight
  • Notions: tapestry hook, scissors
  • Special Stitches: front- and back-post double and triple crochet
