These stranded socks are knit from the cuff down. The pattern is written for double pointed needles but can easily be adapted for Magic Loop or two circular needles.

The pattern is written in English.

The socks are mirrored with horses running clockwise on on sock and counterclockwise on the other. The horseshoes on the toes reflect the direction of the horses.

The lengths of leg and foot can be adapted and two circumference options are available (64 and 80 stitches).

Two cuff options are given. Version 1 is a classic ribbed cuff with a trick to avoid purl dots when changing colours in a ribbed section. Version 2 is a two coloured rolled cuff.

There are blank spaces in the pattern. Amounts of pattern repeats or rows can be inserted there and the numbers can be used for the second sock.

If you are using a gradient colour yarn as main colour consider setting aside 2x 14m of yarn for the heel flaps. That way the colourflow stays uninterrupted on the instep. The pattern will tell you when and where to add the yarn.
