Beautiful, fabulous and funky accessories using 1930's and 1940's style Dorset buttons. 10 button styles to make, and lots of techniques to create your own unique pieces!
This book has 60 pages in total including a section on tools, threads, suppliers and sources, and how to make a shank. Each project is a piece of wearable art, including a brooch, hair slide, shawl pin, choker, scarf ring, bracelet, pendant, key ring, zip pull and a button.
Each design has written instructions, including how to make your button into wearable art, and is supported by lots of colour photos. I wrote it as a follow up to Dorset Button Accessories so it isn't a how to guide for Dorset buttons in general. But if you're handy with a needle you should be fine, even with no previous experience in making buttons. This is a great way to learn a new skill, or expand on an established talent. I have to say though, these buttons are even more addictive than traditional Dorset buttons. You have been warned!
