Lesson 14 - From Understanding to Application: Learning to Study God's Word for Yourself
Bible study is not complete when we understand the truth. What will we do with what God has shown us?
Lesson 14 helps students move from accurate interpretation to faithful application. Students learn that application must grow out of what the passage actually means and consider how biblical truth should affect what they believe, change, do, and remember.
In this lesson, students will:
- Distinguish biblical interpretation from personal application
- Recognize why understanding should come before application
- Use BELIEVE, CHANGE, DO, then REMEMBER to consider a response
- Practice turning biblical understanding into faithful obedience
