Lily and Tom - Story for Kids

Lily and Tom were best friends who lived in a small house at the edge of the Whispering Woods. The woods were called 'Whispering' because on windy days, the leaves seemed to whisper secrets to anyone who would listen. Lily had bright red hair that bounced when she walked, and Tom had a mischievous grin and a heart full of courage. One sunny afternoon, while playing near their backyard fence, they noticed something they had never seen before. Tucked away behind an old, gnarled oak tree was a small, wooden door, almost hidden by ivy. It looked like it belonged to a fairy tale!
