EMBRACING NEUROINCLUSIVITY: THE BASICS

Are you unintentionally creating barriers for your students?

This self-led workshop is an engaging, practical introduction to neuroinclusion designed specifically to help actor educators create learning environments where different brains, communication styles, sensory needs and ways of learning can genuinely belong.

This workshop gives educators a new lens for understanding neurodivergence.

Actors don’t all learn, process direction, communicate, memorise, collaborate or regulate in the same way. Yet traditional actor training can sometimes rely on unspoken expectations around eye contact, group participation, sensory tolerance, processing speed, communication and “professional” behaviour.

Instead of asking yourself “What is wrong?” this workshop asks “What might this actor need to participate, learn and thrive?”
